Shirley B. Guthrie

Shirley B. Guthrie, 88, of Bardstown, passed away Wednesday May 24, 2017 at her residence.  She was born June 2, 1928 in Sidney, Ohio, and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Guthrie; daughter, Terry Hagan; grandson, Jamie Hagan; and brother, Donald Buzick.

She is survived by eight children, Scarlett Hibbs of Bardstown, Mike Guthrie of New Haven, Jamie (Ronel) Richardson of Bardstown, Pat (Kathie) Guthrie of Ruidoso, New Mexico, Danny (Theresa) Guthrie of Cox’s Creek, Sally Guthrie of Acworth, Georgia, Richard “Tink” (Lucia) Guthrie, and Ben (Angela) Guthrie both of Bardstown; many grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.

Her Funeral Mass will be 10:00 am Saturday May 27, 2017 at Basilica of St. Joseph Proto-Cathedral, with burial in St. Joseph Cemetery.  Rev. Terry Bradshaw will officiate.  Visitation will be 3 to 8 pm Friday May 26 and 8 to 9:15 am Saturday May 27 at Barlow Funeral Home.  A prayer service will be held Friday evening.
