Virginia Sams Obituary

Virginia Sams, 83, of Bardstown passed away Thursday September 16, 2021 at her residence. She was born September 13, 1938 in Louisville.

She was preceded by her husband, Charles Bryson Sams Jr.; parents, Floyd and Florence Robinson; brothers, Bransford Robinson and David Robinson; and sister, Cheryl Robinson.

She is survived by her son, Dean Allen (Judy) Sams; daughter, Stacey Down Castello both of Bardstown; granddaughter, Jennifer Estep; two brothers, Robert Robinson and Sonny Robinson; sister, Katherine Lee Ritsert; three nieces, Judy Robinson, Julie Robinson, and Carrie Ritsert; and nephew, Timmy Robinson.

Her funeral service will be Noon Tuesday September 21, 2021 at Barlow Funeral Home. Visitation will be held 10 am to Noon Tuesday September 21, 2021 at Barlow Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 1 pm Monday September 27, 2021 at Resthaven Memorial Park.

Memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home to help with services.
