Tommy Shelburne

Carole Jean Hall Shelburne, 80, passed away Sunday August 29, 2021, and Tommy Shelburne, 80, passed away Tuesday August 31, 2021 both at Norton Brownsboro Hospital, and both of Cox’s Creek.

Carole was born March 8, 1941, and Tommy was born February 8, 1941, and both lived in Nelson County their entire life.  Carole worked for the Bardstown School System for over 30 years, and in her later years, worked alongside her husband, Tommy, and her son, Freddy, at Shelburne TV and Appliance, until they retired in 2017.  Tommy owned Shelburne TV and Appliance for over 50 years and both were well known in the community.

They are survived by their two children, Freddy (Theresa) Shelburne, and Carrie Shelburne; three grandchildren, Aaron Shelburne, Amber Shelburne, and David Shelburne Zoeller; great-grandson, Brantley Shelburne; and siblings.

Their memorial service will be 3:00 pm Saturday January 8, 2022, which would have been their 62nd wedding anniversary, at Barlow Funeral Home.  Visitation will be 12 – 3 pm Saturday January 8 at Barlow Funeral Home.  A private inurnment will take place in Bardstown Cemetery.
