Thomas Mitchell Lucas

Thomas Mitchell Lucas, 87, of Bardstown, passed away Friday October 13, 2023 at his residence.  He was born March 9, 1936 in Blytheville, Arkansas, owner of T & M Sewer Service in Chicago, United States Army National Guard Veteran, member of American Legion Post # 121, and The First Cedar Creek Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Myrtle I. Lucas; daughter, Deborah Lucas; great-grandson, Conner Fuchs; and parents, mark and Lona Lucas.

He is survived by his five children, Danny (Maureen) Lucas of Bardstown, Juanita (Mike) Grohnke of Elizabethtown, Susan (George) Fuchs of Lindenhurst, Illinois, Thomas (Trina Judson) Lucas of Bardstown, and Timothy Lucas of Lake Villa, Illinois; nine grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; sister, Reba Doron of Volo, Illinois; and several nieces and nephews.

His funeral service will be 11:00 am Friday October 20, 2023 at The First Cedar Creek Baptist Church, with burial in The First Cedar Creek Baptist Cemetery.  Brother Tim Lucas will officiate.  Visitation will be 3 - 8 pm Thursday October 19 and 9 - 10:15 am Friday October 20 at Barlow Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions may go to Susan G. Koeman Foundation or American Heart Association.
