Ruby LaVonne "Von" Culver

Ruby LaVonne "Von" Culver, 73, of New Haven, passed away Wednesday October 30, 2024 at her residence. She was born November 3, 1950, in Ripley County, Indiana. She loved getting together with family and playing cards, and also loved Christmas, and decorating for the holidays. She enjoyed driving around the country and sight seeing. Her Grandson, Jacob, is in the Airforce, and she loved telling others how proud she was of him, he was her light. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Sam Jerry "Shine" Culver; parents, Edison and Edith Back; four brothers, Edgar Back, Hacker Back, Hager Back, and Garner Back; three sisters, Madge Jones, Maise Back, and MaRinda Daughtery.

She is survived by her daughter, Chelley Culver, of Shepherdsville; son, Terry Culver, of New Haven; step-son, Tony (Abbie) Culver, of Bardstown; step-daughter, Laura (Don) Midkiff, of Dunnellon, Florida; grandson, Jacob Foster, of Eglin AFB; step-grandson, Jeff Davis, of Chesapeake, Virginia; three brothers, Homer Back, of Carlsbad, New Mexico, James (Beverly) Back, of Howardstown, Nem (Jackie) Back, of Hodgenville; one sister, Beth (Chuck) Rust, of New Haven; and several nieces and nephews. 

Her memorial service will be 1 pm, Saturday November 9, 2024 at Barlow Funeral Home with inurnment to follow at Marshall Family Cemetery. Rev. Kirby Rust will officiate. Visitation will be 10 am - 1 pm Saturday November 9, 2024 at Barlow Funeral Home.
