Ruby Marshall, 79, of Cox’s Creek, passed away Thursday August 26, 2021 at her residence. She was born February 26, 1942 in Nelson County, and a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Mae Metcalf; granddaughter, Brandy Lynn Hobbs Radcliffe; grandson, Brad Marshall; brother, Leo Metcalf; and sister, Nancy Metcalf.
She is survived by her husband of 61 years, George Marshall; two sons, Stephen (Cathy) Marshall both of Cox’s Creek, and Keven Marshall; daughter, Denise (Ricky) Hobbs both of New Hope; ten grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; two sisters, Sharon (Jimmy) Newton and Carolyn (Bill) Willett of Balltown ; eight brothers, Donnie(Juanita) Metcalf of Culvertown, Philip (Ann) Metcalf, Steve Metcalf and John Metcalf, all of New Hope, Walt Metcalf of Lawrenceburg, Maurice (Nancy) Metcalf of Bardstown, Teddy (Verna) Metcalf and Glen (Tammy) Metcalf of Holy Cross; and several nieces and nephews.
Her Funeral Mass will be 11:00 am Monday August 30, 2021 at St. Thomas Catholic Church, with burial in St. Thomas Cemetery. Rev. Ben Brown will officiate. Visitation will be 3 – 8 pm Sunday August 29 and 9 – 10:15 am Monday August 30 at Barlow Funeral Home. A prayer service will be held Sunday evening.
