Rosalie Boone Dile

Rosalie Boone Dile, 87, of Bardstown went to her heavenly father on Friday, June 19, 2026. She was born Rosalie M. Freimark, one of six children to the late Ricka and Ervin H. Freimark Sr.

Her pride and joy in her life was her five children; Brenda (David) Sims, Cathy (Hal) Newton, Denise (Gary) Boone, Daniel (Billie Jo) Boone, and Becky (Ralph) Opfer; her eleven grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; three great great-grandchildren with the 4th expected in July; four step-children; eleven step-grandchildren; twenty-one step great-grandchildren; and two great great step grandchildren.

She was a retired nursing assistant from Flaget Hospital where she worked for over 20 years, a former member of the Women's Auxiliary for the VFW in Flat Rock, Michigan. She enjoyed cross stitching, working jigsaw puzzles, and Bible study, but mostly enjoyed spending quality time with her kids and grandkids.

She was blessed to live a life so full that it beautifully spanned five generations not once but twice in her lifetime. First in the 1980 with the birth of her first grandson then again in 2020 with the birth of her great great-granddaughter. 

Rosie is preceded in death by her first husband; Don Boone; her second husband, Henry Dile; grandson, Joey Newton; infant great great-grandchildren, Cynthia Boone, Noah Grubbs, and Rosalie Grubbs; stepson, Eddie Dile; step grandson, Derek Dile; brothers, Ervin Freimark Jr., and John Freimark; and her infant sister, Shirley Freimark.

She is also survived by her sister, Judy Jones of Atlanta, Michigan; her brother, Ken Freimark of Milan, Michaigan; as well as several generations of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Tuesday, June 23 from 2 pm to 7 pm and Wednesday, June 24 from 9 am to 11 am at Barlow Funeral Home. Prayer service will begin at 11 am Wednesday, June 24 at Barlow Funeral Home , with cremation to follow.
