Richard Kays Obituary

Richard “Richie” Kays, 49, of Bardstown, passed away Tuesday December 28, 2021 at Flaget Memorial Hospital. He was born September 13, 1972 in Bardstown and worked for Louisville Paving.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Elmo and Irene Kays; uncle, Mike Kays; and cousin, Zachary Martinez.

He is survived by his wife, Tonya Kays of Bardstown; father, Dickie (Ailene) Kays of Irvington; mother, Maxine Kays of Bardstown; sister, Krissia (James) Kintz of Bardstown; two nieces; and a nephew.

His prayer service will be 12 pm Monday January 3, 2022 at Barlow Funeral Home with cremation to follow. Visitation will be 10 am to 12 pm Monday January 3 at Barlow Funeral Home.
