Pete Gilpin

Pete Gilpin, 81, of Bardstown, passed away Thursday, October 24, 2024 at Helmwood Healthcare. 

He retired from Heaven Hill Distillery, and loved to fish, go bowling, and horseshoes. 

He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Carolyn "Carol" Gilpin; parents, George and Virginia Gilpin; and sisters, Rachel Hagen and Rose Woodard.

He is survived by a daughter, Renee (Mark) Newton; three step-sons, Sam (Tonya) Gilpin Jr., John (Jennifer) Gilpin, and Doug Gilpin; six grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; two sisters, Ginger Franklin and Nona Cundiff; and two brothers, Sam Gilpin and Tommy Russell.

His funeral service will be 11 am Tuesday, October 29, 2024 at Barlow Funeral Home with burial in Bardstown Cemetery. Visitation will be 3 pm to 8 pm Monday October 28 and 9 am to 11 am Tuesday October 29 at Barlow Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
