Pamela Lynne Lingard, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed
away peacefully on April 12, 2025, at Pruitt Health in Savannah, Georgia, at the age of 61.
Born on June 1, 1963, in Bardstown, Kentucky. Pamela was raised in a close-knit
community and received her education through Bardstown City Schools. She eventually
made her home in Allenhurst, Georgia, where she spent many meaningful years dedicated
to her work and family.
Pamela devoted her professional life to public service, working as a shift manager
at Walmart, a unit manager with Job Corps and later serving as a correctional officer at
Georgia State Prison. Her unwavering strength, compassion, and commitment to helping
others left a lasting impact on those she worked with and mentored.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 40 years, David James Lingard; her
loving daughters Siobhan (Tyrone) Haygood of Bardstown, Kentucky, and Shanissa Bell
of Oak Park, Illinois; her cherished grandchildren Tyranie, Krystina, Jazmine, Deshonn,
and Kaelynn Haygood, all of Bardstown, Kentucky; one precious great-granddaughter,
Phoenix McKnight and three grand-dogs, Meeko, Bella, and Dream.
Pamela also leaves behind her dear sisters: Sharon Conner of Clarksville, Tennessee;
Melissa (Prentis) Payne, Tammy Darby, and Theresa Lancaster, all of Louisville, Kentucky;
and Stacey Lancaster Jones of Junction City, Kansas. She will also be remembered fondly
by three sisters-in-law Sherily A. Davis, Marilyn Raglon Columbus GA, Diane (David)
Pressey Anderson, SC, one brother-in-law Joseph Lingard, Hampton, SC, aunts, Nancy
Corrothers of Bowie, Maryland, Margaret Smith of Bardstown, KY, uncle, Charles Lydian,
Jr of Bardstown, KY and a host of nieces, nephews, and lifelong friends.
She was preceded in death by her loving parents, Neal and Elizabeth Guyton; her sister,
Terri Lee Guyton, her brother, Ronald Lancaster; her grandparents, Charles Sr. and Mary
Waldean Lydian, and in loving memory - her mother-in-law Myrtis Lingard, Hampton, SC,
and her dog Angel.
Pamela’s legacy of love, strength, and generosity will live on in all who knew her. Her
family and friends will forever cherish the memories of her unwavering spirit and warm
heart. She will be missed deeply and remembered always.
Funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. April 23, 2025 at Barlow’s Funeral Home
Interment will be in the Bardstown Cemetery.
