Michael Jay Bradley Smith, 37, of Bardstown, passed away Wednesday, April 23, 2025 at U of L Hospital due to cancer.
He worked at Reclaim in Louisville, as peer support, he enjoyed helping others, and had been sober for 2 years. He loved art and music.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Diane Leather Lewis and Bradley Lewis; grandfather, Willie Smith; great-grandparents, Cecil and Nadine Leathers; Widmer and Ruby Harmon, Roy and Mae Lewis; uncle, Mike Lewis; and great great-aunt, Bea Crosier.
He is survived by his parents. Angela and Jay Smith of Bardstown; three children, Desmin Smith, Lydia Smith, and Emma Smith; sister, Brooke Smith (Caleb) Burns; two brothers, Robert Smith and Matthew (Cheyenne) Smith; grandmother, Patsy Smith; mentor, Joshua and Lindsey McCutcheon; special friends, Steve Sublet, Niko and Jamie, Alex Strong, Isaac Spratt, and Erik Langdon; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
His celebration of life will be held 7 pm Tuesday April 29. 2025 at Barlow Funeral Home. Visitation will be 3 pm to 8 pm Tuesday April 29 at Barlow Funeral Home.
