Obituary

Mary Frances McCubbins Rummage, 89, of Cox's Creek, passed away Monday September 19, 2022 at Landmark of Bardstown.  She was born December 7, 1932 in Shepherdsville, a farmer, homemaker, Board member of A.S.C.S., lifetime member of Fur Takers of America, enjoyed helping others in the community, where she provided assistance for them, and a member of Cedar Grove Baptist Church.

 

She was preceded in death by her husband, David "Mike" Rummage; son, David Micheal Rummage; parents, Luther and Louisa Maria McCubbins; and brother, Leslie Earl McCubbins.  

 

She is survived by her two children, Marilyn (Jim) Muerdter of Chester, Virginia, and Terry (Peggy) Rummage of Cox's Creek; two grandchildren, Jessie (Tanner) Stivers, and David (Kim) Rummage; three great-grandchildren, Anthony Bryce Stivers, Rylie Leann Stivers, and Rush Jackson Rummage; sister-in-law, Georgetta Fulkerson of Shepherdsville; and several nieces and nephews.

 

Her funeral service will be 12:00 pm Thursday September 22, 2022 at Barlow Funeral Home, with burial in Riverview Cemetery in High Grove.  Brother Carl Thomas will officiate.  Visitation will be 10 am - 12 pm Thursday September 22 at Barlow Funeral Home.

 

Memorial contributions may go to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
