Margie Cross

Margie Cross, 75, of Bardstown passed away Wednesday, June 4, 2025 at Flaget Memorial Hospital.  She was born on January 25, 1950 in Nelson County.  Margie worked at the Kentucky Standard, a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church, loved bingo, volleyball, bunco, softball, slot machines and a puppy lover.  She was a loving mother, grandmother and friend.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Cross; parents, Arville Dee and Mary Beatrice Auberry Moore; two brothers, Joseph Howard (Pete) Moore and James Arville Dee Moore Jr.; and a sister Theresa Marie Hutchins.

She is survived by two children, Allen Cross (Shelly) and Cheryl Cross; three grandchildren, Jordan Cross, Logan Cross and Dillon Greenwell; six brothers and sisters, Mary Ann Malluzzo, John Theodore "Mike" Moore, Mary Pearl Taylor, Frankie Lee Moore (Walther), Mary Sherard, and Daniel Dee Moore (Sipes); several nieces, nephews, co-workers and friends; and a special friend, Mabel Jones.

Her funeral service will be 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, June 10, 2025 at St. Thomas Catholic Church with burial in St. Thomas Cemetery.  Rev. Ben Brown will officiate.  Visitation will be 3 to 8 P.M. Monday, June 9, 2025 at Barlow Funeral Home and 9 to 11 A.M. Tuesday, June 10, 2025 at St. Thomas Catholic Church.  A prayer service will be held at 7:30 PM Monday at Barlow Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions may go to the National Association of the Deaf.
