Laurie Settles Snellen

Laurie Settles Snellen, 56, of Bardstown, passed away Tuesday January 5, 2021 at Jewish Hospital in Louisville.  She was born January 8, 1964 in Bardstown, retired from Kentucky Cabinet of Family Services, received her bachelor’s degree from University of Kentucky, master’s degree from University of Louisville, and member of St. Thomas Catholic Church.

She was preceded in death by her father, Winston Settles; maternal grandparents, Lorenzo and Emily Riggs; and paternal grandparents, Wilson and Agnes Settles.

She is survived by her husband, Jeff Snellen; son, Tyler Snellen; daughter, Heather Snellen; grandson, Winston Snellen; mother, Mary Evelyn Riggs Settles; two sisters, Ellen (Mike) Adams, and ReRe (Scott) Clark all of Bardstown; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and friends.

Her memorial service will be 2:00 pm Tuesday January 12, 2021 at St. Thomas Catholic Church.
