Katie Simpson Obituary

Katie Michelle Simpson, 30, of Bardstown, passed away Tuesday August 28, 2018 at University of Louisville Hospital. She was born September 26, 1987 in Bardstown, an executive director for Windsor Gardens, loved to play any music instrument and of the Catholic faith.

She is survived by her husband, Matt Simpson; daughter, Emersyn Kate Simpson; parents, Mike and Alice O’Bryan; mother-in-law, Vickie (John) Hall; father-in-law, Timmy (Mary) Simpson all of Bardstown; two sisters, Rachael (Zack) Bagwell of Lebanon Junction, and Abby (Taylor) Wimsett of New Haven; brother-in-law, Jesse (Hannah) Simpson of Florence; paternal grandmother, Hazel O’Bryan of Bardstown; and several aunts and uncles.

Her funeral service will be 11:00 am Friday August 31, 2018 at Barlow Funeral Home, with cremation to follow. Visitation will be 3 – 8 pm Thursday August 30 and 9 – 11 am Friday August 31 at Barlow Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions may go toward a college fund that will be in Emersyn Kate Simpson name.
