Judy Garland Blackwell Lewis

Judy Garland Blackwell Lewis, 72, of Bardstown, passed away Sunday January 22, 2023 at her residence.  She was born February 24, 1950 in Columbia, Kentucky, and a member of Campbell Chapel AME Zion of Bloomfield.  

She was preceded in death by her husband, James "Butch" William Lewis Jr.; parents, Robert and Ruth Blackwell; brother, Bob Blackwell Jr.; and sister, Ruth Ann Blackwell.

She is survived by four children, Germaine Weathers of Louisville, Bentoria Richardson of Atlanta, Benny Richardson Jr. of Louisville, and Marie Fulton of Virginia; eleven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; five brothers, Charlie Blackwell, Ronnie Blackwell, Dale Blackwell, Keith Blackwell, and Kelly Blackwell; three sisters, Rannie Blackwell, Marilyn Blackwell, and Sharon Brown; aunt, Lucille Graves; longtime friend, Ala Dean Walkup; and a host of nieces and nephews. 

Her funeral service will be 3:00 pm Saturday January 28, 2023 at Barlow Funeral Home, with a burial in Lebanon National Cemetery on Monday January 30 at 11:00 am.  Rev. Harriet McElvaney, Rev. Erich Shumake, and Rev. Rivers C. Sumpter will officiate.  Visitation will be 1 - 3 pm Saturday January 28 at Barlow Funeral Home.
