Joshua Wayne Phillips

Joshua Wayne Phillips, 43, of Cox's Creek, passed away Friday, May 2, 2025 at U of L Hospital. He was born December 29, 1981 in Gwinnett County, Georgia, and worked for KFC. He enjoyed hunting, swimming, and video games. He was baptist by faith.

He was preceded by his paternal grandparents, David Edison Phillips Sr. and Norma Ann Kennedy Phillips; maternal grandparents, Joseph David Suiter and Elsie Ellen Raypol Suiter; and step-fathers, David L. "Doodle" Trent and Thomas Wayne Lyvers.

He is survived by his son, Elijah Austin Phillips; mother, Barbara Jo "Jody" (Art) Trent of Cox's Creek; two brothers, Michael Joseph Phillips of Terre Haute, Indiana, and Jason L.(Trish) Phillips of Springfield; half sister, Deborah Ann Adams; half brother, David Edison Phillips III; companion, Lisa Marie Romano; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

His funeral service will be 4pm Friday May 9, 2025 at Barlow Funeral Home with Bro. Darrell Goodlett officiating. Cremation will follow. Visitation will be 1 pm to 4 pm May 9, 2025 at Barlow Funeral Home. 

Memorial donations may be made towards the services.
