Joseph Ray "Jody" Mudd

Joseph Ray "Jody" Mudd , 68, of Bardstown, passed away Tuesday May 26, 2026 at his home. He was born January 7, 1958. He worked at American greetings before retiring and was an avid fan of the UK Wildcats. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Gonza and Carolyn Mudd.

He is survived by his twin sister, Mary Kay Beard, of Bardstown; two nephews, Jason (Amanda) Beard, of Loretto, and Justin (Kayla Carter) Beard, of Bardstown; two nieces, Julie (Ryan) Neeley, of Fern Creek, and Jamie (Colt Burris) Beard, of Springfield; two great-nieces, Ava Grace Neeley, and Abreyelle Paige Neeley; eight great-nephews, Tyler Beard, Jordan Neeley, Tay Neeley, Kobe Neeley, Labron Neeley, Clayton Tungate, Nathan Tungate, and Xavier Graves. 

Jody requested cremation followed by a burial at St. Joseph Cemetery. His graveside service will be 1 pm Saturday, June 6, 2026 at St. Joseph Cemetery.
