John N. Parrott, 96, of Bardstown, passed away Sunday April 7, 2024 at Landmark of Bardstown. He was born June 30, 1927 in Woodlawn, Kentucky, retired mechanic for State Highway Department, United States Army Veteran, member of American Legion Post 121, and of the Christian faith.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Juanita “June” Parrott; second wife, Ethel Harrell Parrott; daughter, Shelly Parrott Arnold; parents, James and Lillie Parrott; brother, Elmer “Jake” Parrott; and sister, Zelma “Toolie” Cecil.
He is survived by his longtime companion, Juanita Collins Parrott; granddaughter, April Marie Arnold Cortez; two great-grandchildren, Clayton Arnold, and BrooklynArabella Arnold; son-in-law, Rick Arnold all of Bardstown; and several nieces and nephews.
His funeral service will be 12:00 pm Thursday April 11, 2024 at Barlow Funeral Home, with burial in Bardstown Cemetery. Rev. Rodney Lynch will officiate. Visitation will be 10 am – 12 pm Thursday April 11 at Barlow Funeral Home.
