John E. Flaherty III

John E. Flaherty III, 77, of Bardstown, passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, March 7, 2026. Born on March 19, 1948, John served his country honorably as a veteran of the United States Air Force and later built a career as a fire and safety engineer at Ford Motor Company.

He is preceded in death by his parents, John Jr. and Zilpha Barr Flaherty, and two brothers.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 43 years, Pamela Klotz Flaherty; six children; two brothers; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren who will cherish his memory.

In accordance with his wishes, cremation was chosen. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in his honor.
