John Davison Obituary

John Davison, Laird of Lochaber, Scotland, was born on April 10, 1950 , Sunderland England. 

 

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Peggy.

 

Survived by his sister, Patricia Vickers, County Durham, England; his wife Susan of Bardstown; twin boys, Daniel and Matthew of Bardstown; daughter, Kerry of Lowestoft, England; as well as ten grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. 

 

He sailed the world as part of the British Merchant Navy and P&O Cruise liners.  He embarked on a career as an engineer in the United Kingdom’s North Sea Oil Industry.  During his career he worked as an oil services engineer in England, Scotland, Egypt, France, Trinidad, Brazil and Angola.  Upon retirement to Bardstown he took up employment as a custodian with the Bardstown City Schools.  John was a champion fly fisherman.  He attended the Redeemer Fellowship Church, Bardstown, Kentucky.  He passed away on Tuesday, February 16, 2021.

 

His funeral service will be at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, February 20, 2021 at Redeemer Fellowship Church with burial in Bardstown Cemetery.  Dr. Matthew Spandler-Davison will officiate.  Visitation will be from 3 till 8 P.M. Friday, February 19, 2021 and 9 till 11 A.M. Saturday, February 20, 2021 at Redeemer Fellowship Church.
