Jerry D. Riley, 76, of Bardstown, passed away Saturday May 21, 2022 at Robley Rex VA Medical Center in Louisville. He was born June 18, 1945 in Nelson County, a retired self-employed dairy farmer and from Tower Automotive, United States Army Veteran, and member of American Legion Post 121, and St. Thomas Catholic Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lois Jean Riley; parents, Joseph and Ruby Riley; two brothers, Charles Riley, and Joseph Eddie Riley; and brother-in-law Clifton Chesser.
He is survived by his three children, Steve Riley, Wayne Riley, and Tammy McCubbin all of Bardstown; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two brothers, David (Martha) Riley of Chaplin, and Mike (Angie) Riley of Sycamore, Illinois; four sisters, Patsy Chesser of Sycamore, Illinois, Brenda Haptonstall of Shepherdsville, Debbie (Larry) Colvin of Springfield, Illinois, and Lena (Roger) Renteria of Sycamore, Illinois; and several nieces and nephews.
His Funeral Mass will be 10:00 am Friday May 27, 2022 at St. Thomas Catholic Church, with burial in St. Michael Cemetery. Rev. Steven Reeves will officiate. Visitation will be 3 – 8 pm Thursday May 26 and 8 – 9:15 am Friday May 27 at Barlow Funeral Home. A prayer service will be 7 pm Thursday.
