Jerry Trent

Jerry Trent,77, of Bardstown, passed away Saturday, March 1, 2025 at U of L Jewish Hospital. He was born June 25, 1947 in Chaplin.

He retired from G.E. after 36 years, and was a Vietnam Army Veteran. He was crafty and enjoyed working around the house, old cars, and telling stories. He liked disco and roller skating. He loved his grandchildren and cats.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Curtis and Mable Boyd; nephew, Curtis J. Apollos; and cousin, Donnie Mattingly.

He is survived by his loving wife, Patsy Trent; son, Jerry Trent Jr.; daughter, Crystal Trent; grandchildren, Kevin Trent, Jared Trent, Ashley (Brett) Gordon, Dayla (Cody) Trent, Chelsey (Sam) Martter, Carley "D" (Dominick) Shofner; two great-grandchildren, Johnny Wayne Trent and Thomas Martter; sister, Brenda Apollos; and nephew, Lex Apollos.

His funeral service will be 10 am Friday March 7, 2025 at Barlow Funeral Home with burial in Highland Memory Gardens. Visitation will be 3 pm to 8 pm Thursday March 6 and 8 am to 10 am Friday March 7 at Barlow Funeral Home.
