Janie Ice Logsdon Newton

Janie Ice Logsdon Newton, 65, of Bardstown, passed away Thursday March 6, 2025 at her residence.  She was born June 9, 1959 in Chicago, Illinois, a caretaker, painter, loving wife, mother, grandmother and enjoyed bonfires, camping, and being with her friends.  She gave her life to taking care of and loving her autistic son, Joseph Wheatley Logsdon, and she had a great love for life.

She was preceded in death by her father, Eugene Ice; mother, Christine; and two brothers, Stanley Ice and Joe Ice.

She is survived by her husband, Michael "Bink" Newton; son, Joseph Wheatley Logsdon both of Bardstown; daughter, Amanda (Jesse) Williams of Hodgenville; four grandchildren, Robbie Ice, Paisley Williams, Jagger Williams, and Jasper Williams; sister, Bettie (Phil) Spatafora; close friends, Linda and Susie and all her soul sisters; and many nieces and nephews.

Her memorial service will be 6:00 pm Friday March 14, 2025 at Barlow Funeral Home.  Visitation will be 4 - 6 pm Friday March 14, 2025 at Barlow Funeral Home.
