Janice G. "Miss Jan" Clemens, 73 of Bardstown, passed away Monday, October 21, 2024 at Baptist Health Hardin. She was born on March 31, 1951 in Bardstown, a beloved head teacher at Nelson County Baptist School and a founding member of Nelson County Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William "Brother Bill" and Gladys Clemens; brother, Charles Clemens; niece, Tannette Clemens Hunter; and a great-nephew, Bruce Anderson.
She is survived by two brothers, William "Buster" Clemens of Bardstown and Leonard Harold Clemens of Dallas, Texas; nephew, Greg (Emily) Clemens of Mt. Juliet, Tennessee; four nieces, Carrie (Andy) Lopotosky of Michigan, Dawn (Jeff) Hood of St. Louis, Missouri, Sarah Clemens and Grace Clemens both of Dallas, Texas; two great-niece, Tasha (Richard) Turner of St. Louis, Missouri, and Sophie Clemons of Mt. Juliet, Tennessee; and a great nephew, Seth Clemons of Mt. Juliet, Tennessee.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, October 25, 2024 at Nelson County Baptist Church Cemetery. Bro. Darrell Goodlett will officiate. Visitation will be from 2 - 8 P.M. Thursday, October 24, 2024 at Nelson County Baptist Church.
Memorial contributions may go toward Janice's funeral in care of Barlow Funeral Home.
