James "Jim" Francis Mattingly

James "Jim" Francis Mattingly, 78, of Boston, passed away Monday February 10, 2025 at Norton Brownsboro Hospital. He was born April 10, 1946 in St. Francis, Kentucky to the late John Marion and Catherine Lucille Mattingly.  He was a Pastmaster for the Masonic Salt River Lodge 180, Masonic Bloomfield Lodge 57, a Commander of the Bloomfield American Legion and ran their fish fry every Friday for years. He enjoyed old cars, going to car shows, and farming. He was very proud to have served in the United States Navy, and proud of others who have served. Jim touched a lot of people's lives, and visiting family and friends, which meant the most to him. 

He was preceded in death by his son; parents; two brothers; and one sister. 

He is survived by his wife Rhonda Mattingly, of Boston; two daughters; four step-children; several grandchildren; ten siblings; and several nieces and nephews. 

His funeral service will be 11 am Saturday February 15, 2025 at Barlow Funeral Home with burial to follow in Bardstown Cemetery with military honors. Chaplain Ray Johnson will officiate. Visitation will be 3 pm - 8 pm Friday, February 14, 2025 and 9 am - 11 am Saturday, February 15, 2025 at Barlow Funeral Home. A masonic service will be held at 6:30 pm Friday evening.
