James Garfield Blair, Jr., 77 of Bardstown, Kentucky passed away Saturday, April 27, 2024. He born April 6, 1947 in Ashland, Kentucky. James was a Vietnam Veteran and a Purple Heart recipient. He was an employee of the United States Postal Service for 30 plus years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James G. Blair and Dorothy Blair and his siblings, Joanne Hart, Donald Blair, and Janet Blair.
He is survived by his wife, Charlotte Blair of 54 years; three children, Rebecca Riffe (Chris), Stacey Hall (Matt), and Curtis Blair (Stephanie) of Bardstown, Kentucky; seven grandchildren, Christin Riffe (Cody), Devin Riffe, Abbigale Hendricks, Seth Hall, Kyle Hall, Connor Blair and Cayley Blair; four great-grandchildren, Lottie, Charley, Luke, and Quill; his sisters, Martha Gillium of Cincinnati, Ohio, Carol Morrison of Ashland, Kentucky, and Kris Abernathy of Ashland, Kentucky.
His funeral service will be held at 12:00 P.M. Thursday, May 2, 2024 at Barlow Funeral Home with Pastor Mark Jones officiating. Burial will be in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 A.M. till 12 P.M. Thursday May 2, 2024 at Barlow Funeral Home.
There will be military honors at the cemetery.
