Helen Mae Stephens

Helen Mae Stephens, 92, of Bardstown went home to be with the Lord on May 3rd, 2025.  She was born June 24th, 1932, in Bloomfield, KY. She was preceded in death by her parents David and Carrie (Tingle) Stephens, brothers James T. and Frank Carr Stephens.  She had 8 nieces and nephews along with many great and great-great nieces and nephews and known to them as Aunt Helen. 

She received her Undergraduate degree from the University of Kentucky, her Master’s degree from Purdue University and PhD from Southern Illinois University. 

In her retirement she loved being the “sample lady” at Kroger and Walmart in Bardstown.  

Her funeral service will be at 4:00 P.M. Saturday, May 10 at Barlow Funeral Home with burial in Maple Grove Cemetery in Bloomfield, KY. Bro. Richard Carwile will officiate. Visitation Saturday May 10, 1-4pm at Barlow Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Hosparus Health in Louisville KY.  

Barlow Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
