Glenn Barlow

Glenn Barlow, 85, of Bardstown, passed away Wednesday August 27, 2025 at Flaget Memorial Hospital.  He was born October 19, 1939 in Chillicothe, Ohio, retired from General Electric, drove for Franklin Family Chevrolet for many years, United States Army Veteran, enjoyed golf, loved to tease, an avid University of Kentucky fan, and a member of Woodlawn Methodist Church. 

He was preceded in death by his son, Russell Wayne Barlow; parents, Russell Shelton and Bertha Bernson Barlow; and sister, Jewell Strawn.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Stella Barlow; daughter, Cheryl (David) Downs both of Bardstown; three grandchildren, Nathan (Emily) Downs, Hunter (Kirsten) Downs, and Hannah (Zach) Culver; eight great-grandchildren; and two nieces.

His funeral service will be 10:00 am Saturday August 30, 2025 at Barlow Funeral Home, with cremation to follow.  Pastor Jerry Pile will officiate.  Visitation will be 4 - 8 pm Friday August 29, 2025 and 9 - 10 am Saturday August 30, 2025 at Barlow Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions may go to Woodlawn Methodist Church.
