Gailyn Shepherd

Gailyn Shepherd, 73, of Boston, Kentucky, passed away Sunday October 19, 2025 at her residence.  She was born February 28, 1952 in Louisville, a wonderful wife, mother, and mamaw.  She was a member of Evangel World Prayer Center in Louisville.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Wally and Irene Blanton; sister, Vicki Blanton; and brother, Mark Blanton.

She is survived by her husband, Rick Shepherd of Boston; four children, Gina (Mark) Black of New Albany, Indiana, Kris Shepherd, Brent Shepherd, and Sean Shepherd all three of Boston; five grandchildren, Steven Shepherd, Aaron Saylor, Kaeli Saylor, Jesse Saylor, and Sophi Saylor; and many family and friends.

Her funeral service will be 11:00 am Thursday October 23, 2025 at Barlow Funeral Home, with burial in Mt. Zion Cemetery in Brownsville, Kentucky.  Pastor Kevin Miller will officiate.  Visitation will be 3 - 8 pm Wednesday October 22, 2025 and 9 - 11 am Thursday October 23, 2025 at Barlow Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions may go to donor's favorite charity.
