Francis "Leo" Walker Obituary

Francis "Leo" Walker, 93, of Bardstown, passed away Monday March 6, 2023 at Windsor Gardens.  He was born August 16, 1929 in Bardstown, retired Tool & Dye worker for General Electric, Veteran of The United States Army and 113th Ordnance Company KY National Guard, Knights of Columbus, and St. Thomas Catholic Church.

 

He was preceded in death by his wife, Delores Cruse Walker; son, Michael "Mike" Walker; parents, Adrian and Anna Marie Walker; two brothers, Bill Walker, and Edwin Charles "Boo" Walker; and two sisters, Loretta Walker Whitehouse, and Rose Ann Walker Jones.

 

He is survived by his granddaughter, Lisa (Travis) Dones, and Stacie Stevens; seven grandchildren, Chase Snellen, Caden Snellen, Grace Dones, Reese Dones, and three of Stacie's children, Drew, Alex, and Megan; brother, Thomas L. Walker of Bardstown; sister, Jane Walker O'Keefe of Texas; and several nieces and nephews.

 

His Funeral Mass will be 11:00 am Saturday March 11, 2023 at Basilica of St. Joseph Proto-Cathedral, with burial in St. Thomas Cemetery.  Rev. Stephen Reeves will officiate.  Visitation will be 8:30 - 10:15 am Saturday March 11 at Barlow Funeral Home.

 

Memorial contributions may go to Hospice of Nelson County or Masses.
