Obituary
Ella Cassity, 66, of Bardstown, passed away Tuesday, July 11, 2023 at her residence. She was born July 9, 1957. She retired from the Army Corps of Engineers were she was a civil engineer. She was a supporter of Raptor Resource Project and the Nelson County Humane Society, and a member of Wickland Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Hilda Cassity; brother, Sam Cassity; and niece, Tiffany Greathouse.
She is survived by her sister, Virginia Morris of Wilson, NC; brother, Jim Cassity of Louisville; niece Charlotte (Roger) Lyvers of Loretto; nephew, Stephen Puckett of Wilson, NC; and great- nieces and nephews, Joey Lyvers, Faith Lyvers, Hope Lyvers all of Loretto, and Cody McDougale of Bardstown, and Courtney McDougale-Nalley of Springfield.
Her funeral service will be 12 pm Friday July 14, 2023 at Barlow Funeral Home. Bro. Rodney Lynch will officiate. Visitation will be 10 am to 12 pm Friday July 14 at Barlow Funeral Home. A private burial in Bardstown Cemetery will be held at a later date.
