With heavy hearts and deep love, we celebrate the beautiful life of Elizabeth Evans Brown. Though her time with
us was far too short, the impact of her love, laughter, and spirit will remain forever in the hearts!
Elizabeth or Missy, as her family often called her, was a devoted mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and close friend -
she was a spark of light wherever she went.
A talented and driven young businesswoman, Elizabeth graduated in May 1988 from Randolph-Macon College in
Ashland, Virginia, with a Bachelor of Arts in Business. She was a member of the Alpha Gamma Delta sorority,
where she later became a mentor to younger sisters, generously volunteering her time to guide, support, and
encourage the next generation. She later achieved multiple certifications and awards for her dedicated work ethic
and leadership at Markel Corporation, a Fortune 500 Company.
She went on to launch her own company in 2023, called Prewitt Willis, LLC. She approached life with ambition
and passion. She inspired those around her not only through her accomplishments but also through the kindness
and authenticity she brought to every relationship. She had a gift for making people laugh, filling rooms with
warmth, humor, and unforgettable energy, which was evident in her career at Markle
She had a deep love for travel and adventure, always embracing new places, cultures, and experiences with
excitement and curiosity. Whether it was a spontaneous getaway, a dream destination in Europe, or simply creating
memories with loved ones, she believed life was meant to be lived fully and beautifully.
Travel was more than a passion for her—it was a path to understanding the world, embracing cultures and
perspectives different from her own. She believed that broadening your view expanded your life, and each journey
became a lesson she carried home, deepening her compassion, wisdom, and appreciation for others
To her family and friends, she was an angel among us—loving, compassionate, generous, and fiercely loyal.
Though heaven gained a beautiful angel, her spirit remains in every shared laugh, every treasured memory, every
adventure remembered, and every quiet moment.
She leaves behind a legacy of love through her beloved son, Trevor Brown; her loving mother, Lee Grigsby
Evans; her dear siblings, David and Robin Evans; her cherished sister-in-law, Mary Evans; countless aunts,
uncles, cousins, treasured friends, and respected colleagues; and her faithful Schnauzer companion, Teddy, who
brought her endless joy, comfort, and unconditional love. She now rests reunited with her beloved father, Richard
Evans, whose love and cherished memories she carried in her heart throughout her life.
"She ran her race with grace, courage, laughter, and love—and crossed the finish line leaving footprints on our
hearts that can never be erased."
Forever loved. Forever celebrated. Forever our angel . . . Missy!
