Donnie Reed Calbert

Donnie Reed Calbert, 73 of Bardstown, passed away Friday, December 20, 2024 at his residence.  He was born on September 17, 1951 in Bloomfield, KY, to the late William Minor and Aleta Bell Calbert. Donnie was a US Army Veteran, and worked for American Fuji Seal for years, until the onset of his illness at which time he retired. He was a fun loving, care free spirit who was always smiling and joking. He worked hard throughout his life to always provide the best for his family.  Donnie was also a member of St. John A.M.E. Zion Methodist Church for many years.

Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by his late wife, Diann Calbert; two brothers, Larry Calbert and Brad Calbert; a son-in-law, Jarrod Jackson; and two grandchildren, Jaylin and Jaden Tonge.

He is survived by his four daughters, LaToya Calbert-Jackson, LaTasha Calbert-Ballard (Cody), Angela Calbert and Demitra Newby (Charles); three grandchildren, Isaiah Green, Azariah Calbert and Javon Newby; his siblings, Jo Evelyn Lewis, Willette Mason, Eddie Calbert (Karen), Glenn Calbert (Sheila), Ray Calbert, Michael Calbert (Marcia), Janice Stivers (Bill), Bob Calbert, Terry Calbert (Leslie), and Sheila Sanders (Rick); and a host of nieces and nephews.

His funeral service will be 12:00 P.M. Tuesday, December 31, 2024 at Barlow Funeral Home with burial in Bardstown Cemetery.  Bro. Chad Reed will officiate.  Visitation will be from 10 A.M. until 12 P.M. Tuesday, December 31, 2024 at Barlow Funeral Home.
