Donald Hughes

Donald Hughes, 63, of Bardstown passed away Friday June 14, 2024. He was born on April 7, 1961 in Bardstown. He loved the UK wildcats, was an active member at Woodlawn Methodist Church, and was a proud grandpa to four grandbabies. 

He was preceded in death by his son Donald Hughes II; mother, Barbara Barlow Hughes; and maternal grandparents, Manuel and Beulah Barlow.

He is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Carolyn Thelma Hughes, of Bardstown; daughter, Amanda Hughes (Daniel) Lacy, of New Haven; son, Derek (Lacey) Hughes, of Bardstown; grandchildren, Havin Ray Carothers, Alexander James Hughes, Gunner Chase Lacy, and Luca Elijah Lacy; three sisters, Deloris (Lambert) Farmer, of Lexington, Debra (Jack) Filiatreau, of Augusta, Georgia, and Delisa (Dale) Hardin, of Tampa, Florida, and mother-in-law, Elizabeth Mann, of Florida. 

His memorial service will be Friday, June 21, 2024 at 12 pm (noon) at Barlow Funeral Home with inurnment to follow at Bardstown Cemetery. Pastor Jerry Pile will officiate. Visitation will be from 10 am - 12 (noon) on Friday, June 21, 2024 at Barlow Funeral Home. 

Memorial donations may be made to Woodlawn Methodist Church.
