Clellon Shewmaker Obituary

Clellon "Kelly" Shewmaker, 88, of Boston, passed away Tuesday May 22, 2018 at Flaget Memorial Hospital. He was born June 17, 1929 in Springfield, retired from South Central Bell, a Navy and National Guard Veteran, 30 year volunteer for the Boy Scouts of America, and a member of Telephone Pioneers, and Youngers Creek Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lonnie and Clara Shewmaker; granddaughter, Lisa; three brothers, Marshall, Manuel, and Elwood Shewmaker; and two sisters, Jewell Settles, and Nina Hendren.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Brenda Shewmaker of Boston; three children, Gary Shewmaker of Pineville, Linda McNally of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Kelly Shewmaker of Dayton, Ohio; ten grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

His funeral service will be 2:00 pm Saturday May 26, 2018 at Barlow Funeral Home, with burial in Willisburg Cemetery. Dr. Tim Harris will officiate. Visitation will be Noon to 2 pm Saturday May 26 at Barlow Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions may go to Youngers Creek Baptist Church or donor's favorite charity.
