Claude Edward McWhorter

Claude Edward McWhorter, 90, of Louisville, passed away Saturday August 16, 2025 at his residence.  He was born October 24, 1934 in Lebanon, Kentucky, retired construction worker, enjoyed fishing, gardening, and loved working on cars.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Estill and Mary Ellen McWhorter; four brothers, Joseph McWhorter, Louis McWhorter, Frank T. McWhorter, and William McWhorter; and three sisters, Christine McWhorter, Mary Idella Washington, and Elizabeth Adams.

He is survived by his two sisters, Prudie Boykins, and Gloria Broughton, both of Louisville; and a host of nieces, nephews, and grandchildren.

His funeral service will be 12:00 pm Friday August 29, 2025 at Barlow Funeral Home, with burial in Bardstown Cemetery.  Rev. Perry Mitchell will officiate.  Visitation will be 10 am - 12 pm Friday August 29, 2025 at Barlow Funeral Home.
