Cheryl Simpson Lyvers, 53, of Bardstown, passed away Wednesday July 27, 2022 at her residence. She was born June 29, 1969 in Bardstown, was a special education teacher for Bardstown City Schools, where she received the Central Kentucky Special Education Cooperative Certificate of Recognition; and a member of KEA. She was a Goldstar child, loved walking, exercising, and most importantly being with her family. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by her father, Ronald Simpson.
She is survived by her loving husband, Jeff Lyvers of Bardstown; three children, Derek (Rebecca) Simpson of Bardstown, Cody (Kristyn) Lyvers of Elizabethtown, and Kelsey (Alex) Chavez of Cheyenne, Wyoming; six grandchildren, Lucas Simpson, Colton Simpson, Aubree Simpson, Jaxon Lyvers, Jett Lyvers, and Markus Chavez; mother, Deanna Sharpe of Bardstown; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Her Funeral Mass will be 11 am Tuesday August 2, 2022 at Basilica of St. Joseph Proto-Cathedral. Rev Terry Bradshaw and Rev Jason Harris will officiate. A private burial will be held at a later date. Visitation will be 3 pm to 8 pm Monday August 1 and 9 am to 10:15 am Tuesday August 2 at Barlow Funeral Home.
