Charlotte Figg, 91, of Bardstown, passed away Monday November 6, 2023 at her residence. She was born March 6, 1932 in Greenbrier, a farmer, loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother an known as Mamaw to her loving grandchildren. She loved her dog, Dora Mae, and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Figg Sr.; daughter, Dorcas Figg; son, Joe Figg Jr.; parents, Earl and Martha Lyvers; three brothers, Tony Lyvers, Ronnie Lyvers, and Wayne Lyvers; and sister, Patricia Ann Waites.
She is survived by her seven children, Deanie Hahn, Cathy Garner, Larry (Jackie) Figg, Eunice Downs, Gregg Figg, John (Lisa) Figg, and Carey (Margo) Figg; daughter-in-law, Mary Figg; fifteen grandchildren; thirty great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; five sisters, Wilhelmenia Taylor, Pauline Mattingly, Rebecca Jane Essex, Margaret Mary Mattingly, and Trudy Boss; four brothers, Pat Lyvers, Wallace Lyvers, Phillip Lyvers, and Kenneth Lyvers; and several nieces and nephews.
Her Funeral Mass will be 11:00 am Saturday November 11, 2023 at Basilica of St. Joseph Proto-Cathedral, with burial in Bardstown Cemetery. Rev. Jacob Zulu will officiate. Visitation will be 3 - 8 pm Friday November 10 and 9 - 10:15 am Saturday November 11 at Barlow Funeral Home. A prayers service will be held Friday evening.
Memorial contributions may go to St. Joseph Catholic Church or American Cancer Society.
