Brother Joe Adams Obituary

Brother Joe Adams, 77, of Bardstown, passed away Wednesday, January 17, 2024 at his residence.  Brother Joe was born on February 10, 1946 in Louisville, he was an Air Force Veteran and served in Vietnam, a member of Nelson County Baptist Church, and a Chaplin to Kentucky State Government for 28 years.  Bro. Joe was a dear friend to many in this state. He fought for his country, he fought for education but his life's passion was his calling that of preaching gospel.  He will be missed by many but he spent his life investing in his children/grandchildren and others so his legacy will live on.  His body succumbed to Agent Orange as a soldier for his country but Heaven gained him as a soldier of Christ.  Well done though good and faithful soldier of God and Country.  Welcome Home Soldier! 

He was preceded in death by his wife, Saundra Jean Adams; and his parents, James and Charlene Linker.

He is survived by three children, Alesha Seay and her husband, John Seay of Frederick, MD, Paul Adams and his wife, Amye Adams of Cox's Creek, KY and Andrea Forester and her husband, Mark Forester of Portland, TN; grandchildren, Sarah Seay Ortiz and her husband, Danny Ortiz, Cynthia Seay, Karissa Seay, John Mark Seay and his wife, Hannah Seay, Blake Adams, Emily Adams, Zachary Adams, Tyler Forester and Trevor Forester; great-grandchildren, Kristiana Ortiz, Silas Ortiz, Ryan Ortiz and Jon Lee Seay; sister, Jean Barnes of Lawrenceville, GA; and a brother-in-law, David Patterson.

His funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, January 23, 2024 at Nelson County Baptist Church with burial in Bardstown Cemetery.  Bro. Darrell Goodlett will officiate.  Visitation will be from 12 P.M. till 8 P.M. Monday, January 22, 2024 and from 9 till 11 A.M. Tuesday, January 23, 2024 at Nelson County Baptist Church.  

Memorial contributions may to the Nelson County Baptist Church.
