Barbara Osbourne Quam

Barbara Osbourne Quam, age 87, of Bardstown, passed away at home surrounded by family Sunday, January 19, 2025.

She was preceded in death by her parents Anna Laura and Thomas Martin Osbourne, sisters; Lucinda Strange, Betty O’Daniel, Sarah Mitchner, brothers; Richard, Donnie, JT, Bob Osbourne and her great granddaughter Adra Dickerson.

She is survived by her children; Tommy Green (Annie Metcalf), Rita Clements (Pat Clements) Martin Green (Merney), Mary Ann Hoback (Bo) and Elise Green (Jeannie Ryan), Sisters; Nancy Tatum, Imelda Woodruff, Sally Milburn and one Brother Damion Osbourne, 11 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

Barbara spent her career as a nurse, x-ray technician and mammogram technician. In her retirement she focused on what she loved most, gardening. She became a Master Gardener and her home was featured on the 2009 Garden Tour.

We will be forever grateful for the love, kindness and patience she received from her caregivers. It was only with their support that we were able to keep her in her home.

Her memorial service will be 12 (noon) Saturday, January 25, 2025 at Barlow Funeral Home with inurnment to follow at St. Rose Cemetery. Rev. Ben Brown will officiate. Visitation will be from 10 am - 12 (noon) Saturday January 25, 2025 at Barlow Funeral Home.
