Anna Louise Yates (Brady), age 78 of Lexington, Kentucky, passed away on December 30, 2025 at her home.
Born on February 6th., 1947 in St. Francis, Kentucky. She was a wife, a mother, a grandmother, sister and aunt.
She loved bingo, gardening, being outdoors, and spending time with her family. She also enjoyed beating anyone at a card game. One of her favorite past times was going to yard sales with her sister Linda Yates. She was an awesome quiltmaker and her children and grandchildren enjoyed these gifts. One of her favorite places was "The Holler".
Louise is preceded in death by her husband Joe Yates, her son Michael Yates, her parents, Mary Theresa Brady and William Francis (Sug) Brady, and her brother "Little Joe".
She is survived by her children, Kathy Langford (Charles), Wesley Yates (Lori), Malinda Austin (Steve), Bonnie Phelps (Joe), her grandchildren, Kevin Yates (Andrea), Kristina Kimbleton (Michael), Tricia Marksbury (Brett), Amanda Bramel (Jacob), and Kellie Phelps (Justin), and 14 great-grandchildren.
Her funeral service will be held Monday, January 5th.. 2026 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Springfield, KY at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Augustine Judd O.P. officiating. Visitation will be from 3 - 8 P.M. on Sunday, January 4th., 2026 and 9 - 10:15 A.M. Monday, January 5th., 2026 at Barlow Funeral Home with burial in Holy Trinity Cemetery.
Barlow Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
She will be dearly missed by her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, siblings, and her two closest nieces, Pam Hibbard and Donna Wright.
