Alex "Sonny" Jackson

Alex "Sonny" Jackson, 90, of Bardstown, passed away Monday May 26, 2025. He was born May 14, 1935 in Cox's Creek. He retired from G.E. and farmed for many years. He loved going to nascar races and enjoyed traveling to many places with his wife and family. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Alex and Alice Jackson; sister, Barbara Sisco; and great-grandson Trent Langley.

He is survived by his loving wife of 73, almost 74 years, Louise Jackson; daughter, Connie Mattingly; son, Gerry (Glenda) Jackson; one granddaughter, Stephanie (Brent) Langley; three grandsons, Jamie Mattingly, Scott (Tammy) Jackson, all of Bardstown, and Gary (Amie) Jackson, of Lexington; and ten great-grandchildren. 

His funeral service will be Friday, May 30, 2025 at 12 pm (noon). Burial will follow at New Salem Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be 10 am - 12 pm (noon) Friday, May 30, 2025.
