Wayne Spalding, 59, of Bardstown, passed away Friday August 3, 2018 at his residence. He was born February 14, 1959 in Marion County, an employee for Lee Building Products, a Kentucky Colonel, avid U of K fan, loved golfing with his sons, brothers, and friends, was generous and always the life of the party, and was very patriotic.
He was preceded in death by his father, William Spalding; and sister, Theresa Mattingly.
He is survived by his wife, Jackie Barber Spalding of Bardstown; four children, Megan Spalding Morgan, Patrick (Angie) Spalding, Benjamin Spalding all three of Louisville, and Hannah Spalding of Bardstown; granddaughter, Remy Morgan; mother, Martha Spalding of Fredericktown; two sisters, Denise (Allen) Carrico, and Rose Marie (Ron) Wimsett; four brothers, Jim (Deanna) Spalding, David (Tracy) Spalding, John (Rene) Spalding, and Martin (Kelli) Spalding all of Bardstown; and several nieces and nephews.
His visitation will be 1 - 6 pm Sunday August 5 and 9 - 11 am Monday August 6 at Barlow Funeral Home. A private graveside will be at Holy Trinity Cemetery. The family is planning a party to celebrate his life at a later date.
Memorial contributions may go to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or Wounded Warrior Project.
