Tony Johnson

Tony Johnson, 69, of New Haven, passed away Monday September 10, 2018 at his residence. He was born November 4, 1948 in Nelson County, worked construction for Hamilton Construction, a member of Abbey of Gethsemani, and the 700 Club.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Patsy Johnson; parents, Earl and Marjorie Johnson; grandson, Andrew Wayne Johnson; brother, Paul Johnson; and nephew, Ricky Martin.

He is survived by eight children, Leslie Chapman, RonnyJohnson, Toni Johnson, Anthony Johnson Jr., Scotty Johnson, Janet Johnson, Donna Johnson, Dana Johnson; twenty-nine grandchildren; twenty-eight great-grandchildren; four brothers, Jesse Johnson, Randall Johnson, Bobby Johnson, Sammy Johnson; and five sisters, Ceil Bryan, Mary Nalley, Theresa Donahue, Maggie Jackson, Annette Price.

His funeral service will be at 11:00 am Friday, September 14, 2018 at Barlow Funeral Home, with burial in St. Thomas Cemetery. Brother Sammy Johnson will officiate. Visitation will be 4 to 8 pm Thursday, September 13 and 9 to 11 am Friday September 14 at Barlow Funeral Home.
