Shirley Martin Obituary

Shirley Hopper Martin, 71, of Nazareth, passed away Tuesday August 7, 2018 at her residence. She was born November 8, 1946 in Nelson County, a long-time employee at Old Kentucky Home Motel and Stephen Foster Restaurant, and enjoyed her time with friends at Nazareth.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenny Martin; father, Jim Hopper; daughter, Sandy Martin; and infant son Robert Martin.

She is survived by her five daughters, Kathy Chesser, Penny (Willie) Shouse, Nikki (Bryon) Runner, Vickie (Doug) Fulkerson, and Mindy Martin; five sons, Kenny Ray (Debbie) Martin, Ricky (Kim) Martin, Tom (Lori) Martin, Mike Martin, and Jason (Jennifer) Martin; twenty-six grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; mother, Rhoda Hopper; sister, Patsy Johnson; and brother, James “Jim Bo” Hopper.

Her visitation will be 3 – 7 pm Saturday August 11, 2018 at Barlow Funeral Home.
