Rita Osbourne Livers, 69, of Bardstown, passed away Wednesday August 15, 2018 at Hosparus Inpatient Care Center in Louisville. She was born February 26, 1949 in Louisville, retired co-owner, office manager, and bookkeeper of Livers Body Shop for 45 years, graduated from Old Kentucky Home High School, member of St. Gregory The Great Catholic Church, where she was a PTO officer, helped with Lenten Missions, RCIA Retreat, Women’s Retreat and other activities such as church decorating, help organize and work with group during renovation of our church, and involved in Marriage Encounter Movement for 2 years. Rita liked to read, yard work, scrap booking, cooking and being with family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Elmer Livers; parents, Joseph Patrick and Frances Evelyn Miles Osbourne.
She is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Renee Harris of Louisville; son, Jason Neal Livers of Bardstown; four grandchildren, Cameron Patrick Harris, Olivia Grace Harris, Hunter Lanis Livers, and Madison Brooke Livers; seven sisters, Frances (John) Moon of Prospect, Linda (Elbert) Stallings of Cox’s Creek, Joann (John) Hutchins, and Wanda (Jim) Craig both of Bardstown, Sheila J. Osbourne of Florida, Debbie (Mark) Thompson, and Mary Margaret “Peggy” Osbourne both of Cox’s Creek; three brothers, Charles (Regina) Osbourne of Indiana, Joe (Debbie) Osbourne of Mt. Washington, and James (Sylvia) Osbourne of Taylorsville; and several nieces and nephews.
Her Funeral Mass will be 11:00 am Saturday August 18, 2018 at St. Gregory The Great Catholic Church, with burial in St. Gregory Cemetery. Rev. Peter Do will officiate. Visitation will be 3 – 8 pm Friday August 17 at Barlow Funeral Home, with a prayer service at 7 pm Friday.
