Margaret Byrd

Margaret Byrd, 75, of Chaplin, died Monday, June 4, 2018 at her residence.  She was born May 20, 1943 in Nelson County.  She previously worked as a cafeteria worker for the Anderson County School system.  A member of Bardstown Church of God, served as a bookkeeper for the adult Sunday school class, she loved the Lord, and was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother with unconditional love for each and every one of them.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Leverne Case; granddaughter, Deanna Michelle Riggs; two brothers, Gerden Case and Roger Case; and sister, Ruby Jean Case.

She is survived by her husband, Gerald Byrd of Chaplin; three daughters, Janice Byrd of Lawrenceburg, Karen (Dean) Riggs of Chaplin, and Stacy (Danny) Winsor of Chaplin; son, Brad Byrd of Chaplin; grandchildren, Joey, Randy, Chelsie, Shelby, Madi, and Denton; and sister, Barbara (Charlie) Chesser of Chaplin.

Her funeral service will be at 1:00 pm Friday, June 8, 2018 at Barlow Funeral Home with burial in Highview Cemetery.  Pastor Bill Adams will officiate with Pastor David Calvert assisting.  Visitation will be from 3 till 8 pm Thursday, June 7, 2018 and 11 am till 1 pm Friday, June 8, 2018 at Barlow Funeral Home.
