Mardeth "Mardi" Jones

Mardeth “Mardi” Jones, 73, of Bardstown, passed away Sunday December 3, 2017 at Windsor Gardens.  She was born August 15, 1944 in Scranton, Pennsylvania, graduated from University of Michigan Ann Arbor in 1966 with a BS in nursing and also a Master’s degree.  She worked in Chicago with visiting Nurses Association, and came to Bardstown in 1986 and worked as Director of Caritas and retired in 2006.  She loved to play bridge with her friends, bet on horses, and loved dogs.  She was on the Board for Nazareth and St. Catherine College, and volunteered for Humane Society of Nelson County.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Mabel Hoffman Jones; and brother, Benjamin Todd Jones.

She is survived by her niece, Jessyca Poole of Seattle, WA; one great-niece; and one great-nephew.

Her memorial service will be 2:00 pm Thursday December 7, 2017 at Barlow Funeral Home.  Visitation will be 1 – 2 pm Thursday December 7 at Barlow Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions may go to Humane Society of Nelson County.
