Lee Hagan Jones

Lee Hagan Jones, 65, died Friday, August 3, 2018 in Winter Haven, FL.  He was born August 3, 1953 in Louisville.   Lee was a 1971 graduate of Bardstown High School, attended St. Catharine Jr. College and Western Kentucky University.  He was a former member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Winter Haven, FL and was a 3rd. Degree Member of St. Josephs Knights of Columbus Council # 4726.  Lee retired as a project administrator for the Florida Department of Transportation after 31 Years of service.  Lee was an avid golfer, enjoyed his leisure time with his many friends and family, and was a loving father and doting “grandpa”.

He is preceded by his father, John N. Jones Jr. on October 11, 1959 and his mother, Lisabeth Ann Mathis Jones on October 5, 1993; his sister, Anne Harlan Jones; and brother, Steven Jones.

He is survived by daughter, Lindsey Bennett (Dee) of League City, TX; son, John Jones of Jacksonville, FL; grandson, William Bennett; granddaughter, Elle Bennett; two sisters, Lisa Haydon of Springfield and Cindy Clemons; brother, Dann Jones of Chicago, IL; two nieces, Blair Haydon of Lexington and Kate Thomas (Rob) of Herndon, VA; and a nephew, Ben Haydon of Lexington.

His funeral service will be at 11:00 am Saturday, August 11, 2018 at Barlow Funeral Home with burial in St. Joseph Cemetery.  Rev. Joseph Batcheldor will officiate.  Visitation will be 4 till 8 pm Friday, August 10, 2018 and 9 till 11 am Saturday, August 11, 2018 at Barlow Funeral Home.
